There is no update or revocation path. A sideloaded package sits outside store review and outside Play Protect’s normal signals. It can update itself to something worse after installation.

And nobody is coming to help. Losses from a malicious APK impersonating an offshore casino, in a market where the underlying activity is prohibited, have no regulator, no chargeback and no realistic recovery route.

Using a phone browser sensibly
