The Rainbet app, from Ireland

“Rainbet app download” is one of the first things Irish searchers ask about the brand, and the honest answer is shorter than they expect: there is no app to download from a store, and you do not need one. What Rainbet offers instead is a web app that installs to your home screen in about ten seconds and behaves, after a day or two, much like a native one.

This page covers why the stores are closed to it, how to install it on iPhone and Android, why an APK is a bad idea, and what playing on a phone actually changes.

Why there is no App Store or Google Play app

Rainbet’s website links to neither store. That is not an oversight, and it is not unique to Rainbet.

Apple and Google both restrict real-money gambling apps to operators licensed in the market where the app is distributed. Rainbet holds an Anjouan licence and no Irish one, so the Irish storefronts are not open to it in the way they are to GRAI-licensed operators.

Ireland has also given itself a direct lever over apps. Section 75 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, in force since 5 February 2026, lets the GRAI ask the High Court to order a provider of an online application store service — alongside internet providers — to block access to an unlicensed gambling service. No order against Rainbet has been reported; the point is that Irish law now treats app stores as part of the enforcement chain.

The way offshore operators work around all of this is the same everywhere: build the site to run as a web app. Rainbet’s site carries a web app manifest, which is what makes the home-screen install below possible.

Installing it on your home screen

On iPhone or iPad: open rainbet.com in Safari, tap the Share button, scroll to Add to Home Screen and confirm. An icon appears alongside your other apps. The option lives in Safari’s share sheet; other browsers on iOS may not offer it.

On Android: open rainbet.com in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen, depending on your Android version.

Either way you get a full-screen launch with no address bar, your session kept between opens, and an icon that behaves like any other. Push notifications are limited or absent on some setups — which some people will count as a loss and others as the best feature on this page.

Log in once inside the web app; the login page covers sign-up, passwords and two-factor authentication.

Do not sideload an APK

This gets its own section because it is the one real security question here.

Some offshore casinos, or sites pretending to represent them, offer an Android APK for direct download. Installing one means switching off the protection that stops Android running unverified software — for an application connected to your money. Rainbet’s site does not link to an APK, which means any APK you find “for Rainbet” comes from someone else.

The web app does everything an APK could. There is no feature behind a download that the home-screen route does not give you, and no reason to take the risk.

What a small screen changes

Everything works on a phone. The differences are about ergonomics, and they cut in specific directions.

Slots and the Originals are the best fit: designed for portrait, large controls, and a pace that suits touch.

Live dealer works, but shrinks. The stream is small, side bets and the roulette racetrack are fiddly, and the studio atmosphere — the point of live dealer — thins out on a six-inch screen.

The sportsbook is where the compromise is real. A desktop shows a full market list; a phone shows a slice of it. Placing a bet you already know is easy. Comparing markets across several fixtures means scrolling, and scrolling is where hasty decisions get made.

Data and battery

Slots and Originals use little data; live dealer streams use a lot. On mobile data, a long live-roulette session is the one thing likely to dent your allowance, so Wi-Fi is the sensible choice for live tables. Video streams also drain a battery fast.

The part that actually matters

The installation is trivial. The habit is not.

A casino on your home screen is a casino in your pocket at every idle moment: on the bus, in a queue, at two in the morning. That availability is the product working as designed, and it is also how play drifts away from the budget you set at a desk. Before you add the icon, decide your limits — Rainbet offers a loss limit, cool-off periods and self-exclusion — and consider leaving the icon off your first screen. Small friction is a feature.

The Irish angle

Two points specific to playing from here.

Northern Ireland is excluded. Rainbet’s terms bar the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland included, so a phone on a Northern Irish connection is outside its permitted territory whatever the app does.

A web app depends on the website. If the GRAI ever obtained a blocking order, or if Rainbet chose to geo-block Ireland as Stake did in September 2026, the home-screen icon would stop working with the site. Keep your balance modest and withdraw winnings as you go; the crypto page explains how.

Open Rainbet on your phone

18+ only. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Gambling Care is free on 1800 936 725, 24 hours a day — a number worth saving next to the icon. See responsible gambling.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download the Rainbet app in Ireland?

Not from an app store. Rainbet's site links to neither the App Store nor Google Play. What it offers instead is a web app: rainbet.com carries a web app manifest, so you can add it to your phone's home screen and it opens full-screen like an installed app.

How do I install Rainbet on an iPhone?

Open rainbet.com in Safari, tap the Share button, choose Add to Home Screen and confirm. An icon appears among your apps and opens the site full-screen. The option is in Safari's share sheet; other iOS browsers may not offer it.

How do I install Rainbet on Android?

Open rainbet.com in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen, depending on your Android version. The result opens in its own window without the browser bar.

Should I install a Rainbet APK?

No. Rainbet does not link to one, and installing any APK from outside the Play Store means switching off a protection on your phone for software connected to your money. The home-screen web app gives you everything an APK would.

Is the web app different from the website?

No. It is the same site, with the same account, balance, games, sportsbook and cashier. Installing it only changes how it opens: full-screen, with its own icon, and with your session kept between visits.

Can Irish authorities block the Rainbet app?

Section 75 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 lets the High Court, on the GRAI's application, order internet providers and app stores to block access to an unlicensed gambling service. No such order against Rainbet has been reported as of 21 October 2026. A home-screen web app depends on the website, so a block on the site would reach it too.
