Rainbet deposits and withdrawals from Ireland
Rainbet’s cashier is built for crypto, and that shapes everything about using it from Ireland: there is no euro balance, and money moves through cryptocurrency rather than through Irish bank rails. In exchange, withdrawals land in minutes rather than days.
This page covers the coins, the routes in from euro, the real withdrawal time and requirements, what the round trip costs, and the Irish tax point that most crypto casino guides miss.
The short version
- Account currency: US dollars.
- Deposits: nine cryptocurrencies, a card purchase of crypto inside the cashier, or a Rainbet gift card.
- Withdrawals: in crypto, normally sent within 5–15 minutes, from a $15 minimum.
- Requirement: play each deposit through once (a 1x wager lock); after that, withdrawals carry no commission, only the network fee.
- Tax: winnings are not taxed in Ireland, but the crypto can be.
Supported coins
Rainbet accepts Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), XRP, Solana (SOL), Tron (TRX), BNB (on BNB Smart Chain), Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC).
The operator’s published minimums and confirmation times:
| Coin | Network | Minimum deposit | Typical confirmation |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | Bitcoin | $100 | ~10 minutes |
| ETH | ERC-20 | $10 | under 1 minute |
| LTC | Litecoin | $10 | under 10 minutes |
| USDT | ERC-20 | $25 | under 1 minute |
| XRP | XRP Ledger | — | under 1 minute |
| SOL | Solana | — | under 1 minute |
| BNB | BNB Smart Chain | — | under 2 minutes |
| TRX | Tron | — | under 2 minutes |
A deposit is credited after one blockchain confirmation. For speed, ETH, XRP and SOL are quickest; Bitcoin is slowest and has the highest minimum.
Three ways in from euro
1. Buy on an exchange, then send. Buy crypto with euro on an exchange you trust — an EU-authorised one gives you a regulated counterparty for the euro leg — then send it to the deposit address Rainbet shows you. More steps, but usually the cheapest route, and you can choose the coin and network.
2. Buy inside the cashier. Rainbet’s cashier lets you buy crypto with a card through MoonPay, a third-party provider; the crypto lands in your balance. Convenient and quick, typically at a higher cost than an exchange, because convenience is what the provider charges for.
3. Redeem a gift card. Rainbet supports gift card deposits, redeemed in the cashier for balance. It avoids a wallet altogether, which is why “Rainbet gift card” is such a common search. Two cautions: buy only through Rainbet’s own channels, because resold gift codes are a classic scam, and remember that gift-card balances withdraw in crypto like everything else.
Rainbet also accepts CS2 skins from a Steam inventory, which is a niche route but a real one.
The credit-card point
Ireland drew a firm line here in 2026. Section 165 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, in force since 5 February 2026, bars GRAI licensees from accepting payment by credit card, including e-wallets loaded from one, and from offering credit at all. The reasoning is straightforward: gambling with borrowed money is how losses turn into debt.
Rainbet is not a licensee, and its cashier’s card route sells you crypto through a third party — so nothing stops a credit card being used. That makes the discipline yours. Fund with money you already have. If you ever catch yourself reaching for a credit card to top up, that is the moment to stop rather than the moment to deposit. MABS, the free Money Advice and Budgeting Service, is on 0818 07 2000 if gambling has already reached your borrowing.
Withdrawal time and requirements
This is Rainbet’s strongest feature, and it comes with conditions worth knowing in advance.
Speed. The operator says withdrawals are normally processed and sent within 5 to 15 minutes. After that, the blockchain takes its usual confirmation time. No bank is involved, so weekends and bank holidays make no difference.
Minimum. $15 in value.
The 1x deposit lock. Every crypto deposit must be wagered once before it can be withdrawn commission-free. Play it through once and only the network fee comes off the payout. Locks like this are a standard anti-laundering measure, and a single play-through is a light one.
Bonus terms. If you took the wager-locked welcome route, the bonus has its own 40x requirement — see bonuses.
Identity checks. Clause 20.1 of Rainbet’s terms lets it request KYC documents at any time, restrict withdrawals if they are not supplied within 72 hours, and take up to 7 business days to review them — and it says a failed or refused check results in confiscation of funds. Larger withdrawals are where checks are most likely. Keep your account details accurate from the start.
The round trip, honestly costed
Euro to crypto, crypto to a dollar balance, and back again is three conversions, and each one costs something. An illustrative example, with round numbers rather than any provider’s actual pricing:
- You buy €500 of USDC, paying a 1% spread and fee: about €495 of value arrives.
- You deposit it; the network fee on the way in is small on a cheap network, large on Ethereum at a busy moment.
- You withdraw, paying the network fee again.
- You sell the USDC back to euro, paying another 1%.
Before a single bet, roughly 2% has gone in friction, plus whatever the dollar–euro rate did while your money sat in a dollar balance. That is the hidden price of a crypto cashier, and it is why it pays to deposit less often in larger amounts — within your budget — rather than topping up constantly.
Tax on the crypto itself
Here Ireland has a rule worth understanding, because it is easy to get wrong in both directions.
The winnings are not taxed. Section 613(2) of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 says winnings from betting, lotteries and games with prizes are not chargeable gains, with no condition about where the operator is licensed.
The crypto is a separate asset. Revenue’s Tax and Duty Manual on crypto-assets (reviewed January 2026) says the sale, transfer or redemption of crypto-assets is most likely a disposal for capital gains tax, and its own example treats paying for goods in a café with crypto as a disposal. So if you send Rainbet a coin that has risen in value since you bought it, that movement may itself realise a gain.
- The rate: 31% for disposals on or after 7 October 2026; it was 33% before Budget 2027.
- The exemption: the first €1,270 of chargeable gains each year is exempt.
- Losses can be set against gains, and carried forward.
- Deadlines: CGT on disposals made from January to November is due by 15 December; on December disposals, by 31 January.
The simplest way to keep this clean is the one that also suits the account: use a stablecoin bought shortly before you deposit. A USDC or USDT balance pegged to the dollar has little or no gain to realise. Holding Bitcoin for years and then depositing it is where the tax bill hides. Keep a record of what you paid for every coin. This is general information, not tax advice; if the amounts are large, talk to an adviser.
The mistakes that lose money for good
Crypto payments cannot be reversed. These are the errors that cannot be fixed:
- Wrong network. USDT exists on several networks. Sending on one when the address expects another can lose the funds outright. Match the network shown in the cashier exactly.
- A mistyped address. Always copy and paste, or scan the QR code, and check the first and last characters before you send.
- A missing tag or memo. If the cashier shows a destination tag or memo for a coin, include it.
- Leaving large balances on the platform. Rainbet holds no Irish licence, and the GRAI has been pushing unlicensed operators to leave the market; Stake did in September 2026. A balance you have withdrawn is a balance you cannot be caught with. Withdraw winnings as you go.
Why crypto at all
Crypto keeps the cashier outside the banking system — the system that section 75 of the 2024 Act lets the High Court reach, with orders stopping banks from making or receiving payments for an unlicensed operator. The same feature cuts the other way for you: if something goes wrong, there is no chargeback and no bank to call.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Rainbet withdrawal take?
The operator says crypto withdrawals are normally processed and sent within 5 to 15 minutes, after which the blockchain adds its own confirmation time. Two things can slow it: an outstanding wager requirement on your deposit or an active bonus, and an identity check, which Rainbet's terms say can take up to 7 business days.
What are Rainbet's withdrawal requirements?
Every crypto deposit carries a 1x wager lock: play the deposit through once and withdrawals are commission-free, with only the network fee deducted. The minimum withdrawal is 15 dollars in value. Bonus funds have their own wagering terms, and Rainbet can ask for KYC documents before paying out.
Can I deposit at Rainbet in euro?
Not as euro. The balance is in US dollars and the cashier runs on crypto. From euro you can buy crypto on an exchange and send it, buy crypto inside the cashier with a card through the third-party provider MoonPay, or redeem a Rainbet gift card. Withdrawals are paid in crypto.
What is a Rainbet gift card?
A prepaid voucher redeemed in the cashier for account balance, as an alternative to sending crypto from a wallet. The 1x deposit wager lock applies as with any deposit, and withdrawals are still paid in crypto. Buy gift cards only from Rainbet's own channels; resold codes are a common scam.
Is crypto I use at Rainbet taxed in Ireland?
Gambling winnings are not chargeable gains under section 613(2) of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997. The crypto is a separate asset: Revenue treats the sale, transfer or redemption of crypto as most likely a disposal, so moving a coin that has risen in value can create a capital gain, taxed at 31% from 7 October 2026 after the 1,270 euro annual exemption.
Which coin is best for Rainbet from Ireland?
For most people a stablecoin, USDT or USDC: its value stays pegged to the dollar, which matches the account currency and avoids price swings while you play. It also keeps the tax side simple, because a coin bought just before depositing has little or no gain to tax. ETH, SOL and XRP confirm fastest; Bitcoin is slowest and has the highest deposit minimum.
