Rainbet VIP: what the ladder is actually worth

Loyalty programmes in gambling are marketing with arithmetic inside. This page is about the arithmetic: how Rainbet’s ladder works, what “up to 70% back” is worth in real money, what a VIP transfer involves, and why the programme is a discount for someone already playing and never a reason to play more.

All figures are in US dollars, the account currency; convert to euro as you read.

The ladder: automatic, with no application

The tiers run Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond, with an extended Infernal Diamond rank beyond Diamond. Each tier is split into sub-levels, so progress shows up in small steps. There is no application, invitation or fee: your rank rises with how much you have wagered over recent months.

What each tier adds:

TierWhat it brings
BronzeRakeback, a daily reload and a daily bonus, from day one
SilverAdds the Pre-Monthly Bonus and larger reloads
GoldHigher rakeback and weekly free spins
PlatinumStronger bonuses, with more value paid to the main balance
DiamondTop-rate rakeback, a VIP representative and the best reloads

One detail deserves a pause. As you climb, more of each bonus lands on your main balance rather than in the daily reload. Money on the main balance is yours to withdraw. Bonus money carries conditions. Two amounts that look the same in a promotional line can be very different things.

The six reward tracks

“Up to 70% back” is not one payment. It is six streams, each on its own clock:

TrackWhen
Rakebackevery 15 minutes, based on what you have wagered
Daily Reload3 times a day, every 8 hours; expires if not claimed within 24 hours
Daily Bonusonce every 24 hours, building for up to 72 hours
Weekly Bonusonce a week
Pre-Monthly Bonuson the 16th, based on your last 30 days (Silver and above)
Monthly Bonusat the end of each month

Rakeback is the engine; part of it also feeds the daily reload.

How rakeback works

Every game has a house edge. On a slot at 96% RTP it is four per cent: stake $1,000 in total and the house’s expected take is $40. Rakeback returns a share of that $40 — not of your stake, and not of your loss.

At 30% rakeback you get $12 back, and the effective edge falls from 4% to 2.8%. At 70% you get $28 back, and it falls to 1.2%.

Two things follow. Rakeback pays whether you win or lose, because it is calculated from turnover and edge, not outcome — which is why it is worth more over time than a one-off bonus of the same size. And rakeback never flips the maths: even at 70% the house keeps a positive edge. The programme makes play cheaper, never profitable.

What 70% is worth in real money

Put numbers on it. Stake $3,000 a month across games averaging a four per cent edge, and the house’s expected take is $120.

  • At Bronze, a modest share of that $120 comes back.
  • At Diamond, 70% comes back: $84, cutting your expected monthly cost from $120 to $36.

That is a large relative improvement. But notice the base. Reaching Diamond requires enough turnover that giving away 70% of the edge still makes commercial sense for the operator. The tier with the best rate demands exactly the volume of play that makes the edge big enough to share.

Why chasing a tier never pays

This is the only advice on the page that can actually save you money.

A higher tier requires more turnover. Every extra dollar staked costs you the house edge. The reward is a bigger share of that edge returned on future play. You pay full price now for a discount later, on money you have not yet decided to spend.

Rakeback is a discount on play you were doing anyway. The moment it becomes the reason to play, it has turned from a benefit into a cost.

VIP transfer, and the Stake question

“Rainbet VIP transfer” is a frequent search, and in Ireland it has a particular context.

Rainbet says eligible high-volume players can ask to carry their status over from another platform, so they start at a comparable rank rather than at Bronze. It is reviewed case by case: you contact support or a VIP representative with evidence of your current tier, and Rainbet compares it with its own ranking.

Since September 2026, when Stake blocked its whole platform for Irish users after engaging with the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, Irish players who had built a VIP rank there lost the platform it lived on. If that is you, weigh one fact before transferring: Rainbet holds no Irish licence either. It is in the same structural position Stake was in — an offshore crypto operator with a sportsbook taking Irish bets — and the regulator is reported to be investigating more than 100 operators. A rank is only worth what the platform’s continued presence in your market is worth. The legal detail is on is Rainbet legal in Ireland.

The Irish angle: targeted rewards are what the law is coming for

Ireland’s new law has a specific view of programmes like this one.

Section 157 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 defines an inducement as any benefit intended to encourage gambling, and — once commenced — bars a GRAI licensee from offering one to a person or a specific group of persons. Tier-based reloads, personal bonuses and a dedicated representative are, by design, offers made to specific people and groups. The section also lets the Minister restrict or ban other inducements by regulation, and breaches carry up to five years’ imprisonment on indictment.

It has not yet been commenced, and it will never apply to Rainbet, which is not a licensee. But it tells you how Irish policy sees VIP schemes: as a driver of the kind of gambling the Act exists to reduce. That is a reasonable lens to borrow, whichever operator you use.

Reloads and periodic bonuses

Reloads are deposit bonuses for existing players. They grow with your tier and carry the same conditions as any other bonus: wagering, game weighting, maximum bet. The five conditions on the bonuses page apply without exception.

Periodic bonuses — daily, weekly, pre-monthly, monthly, plus weekly free spins at Gold and above — are small amounts on a schedule. Individually modest, together over a year they usually exceed the welcome offer for anyone who plays regularly.

The Diamond representative is a support channel rather than a cash benefit: useful when something goes wrong, but it changes no numbers.

Responsible play

Loyalty schemes work by tying you to a platform, and they work best when you are not thinking about it. Set your limits independently of your tier — Rainbet offers a loss limit, cool-off periods and self-exclusion, described on the login page. Ireland’s own help is free: Gambling Care on 1800 936 725, 24 hours a day, and Gamblers Anonymous Ireland (Dublin: 01 872 1133).

Frequently asked questions

How does the Rainbet VIP programme work?

It is automatic. From your first stake you are on a ladder that runs Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, with an extended Infernal Diamond rank above it and sub-levels within each tier. Your rank rises with how much you have wagered over recent months, and each step raises your rakeback and reload value.

What does up to 70% back mean?

It is the top-tier share of the house edge on your play that comes back to you through rakeback and scheduled bonuses. It is not 70% of your stake or of your losses. At a 4% house edge, 70% back leaves an effective edge of about 1.2%: cheaper play, never profitable play.

Can I transfer my VIP status from another casino?

Rainbet says eligible high-volume players can request a VIP transfer, reviewed case by case against its own ranking, by contacting support with evidence of their current tier. If you are an Irish former Stake customer considering this, note that Rainbet holds no Irish licence either and is in the same position Stake was before it left.

Do sports bets count towards Rainbet VIP?

Yes. Casino and sportsbook share one account and one ladder, so all wagering builds the same rank. Sports bets also count triple in the weekly and monthly races, which is a separate benefit.

When are the VIP rewards paid?

Rakeback every 15 minutes; a daily reload three times a day, every eight hours; a daily bonus every 24 hours; a weekly bonus; a pre-monthly bonus on the 16th for Silver rank and above; and a monthly bonus at the end of the month. Unclaimed daily reloads expire after 24 hours.

Would an Irish-licensed operator run a VIP scheme like this?

Increasingly unlikely. Section 157 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, once commenced, will bar GRAI licensees from offering an inducement to a person or a specific group of persons, which is how tiered VIP offers work. It has not been commenced yet, and it will never bind Rainbet, which is not a licensee.
